Good/ Bad Composition

This is an example of good composition, the sidewalk allows
the observer to move through the image, a characteristic of
good composition. Additionally there are multiple textures
throughout the photo.

This is an example of good composition, the focal point (shed)
is not centered, yet it still captures your attention. The size of
the door in relation to the shed allows the observer to grasp
how small the shed actually is.
This is an example of bad composition. There is no variety
in subject and texture, there is also no focal point or balance
in the image.
This is an example of bad composition. the focal
point is dead center and draws the observer away
from everything else, although there is not much else
in the photo.

  1. I actually like the last photo. If you had a white background, then you could see the example better, however, I do agree with you on the bad composition part. Backgrounds can always make things interesting.
